If you died right now, where would you go? God loves you and offers you eternal life
In heaven as a free gift. He has a plan for your life and wants to come into a relationship with
you. Each of us needs to come into a personal relationship with God with the Saviour, Jesus
Christ.
First, you need to be saved.
Why? Because sin has separated us from God.
What is sin? Sin is anything that we say, do, or think, that is wrong, or displeases God.
Sin has separated us from a relationship with God. The penalty for sin is
death and hell.
Who has sinned? Romans 3: 23 - “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God.”
Luke 13:3 - “I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish.”
What is the penalty for sin? The penalty for sin is eternal separation from God.
Romans 6: 23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Second, you cannot save yourself.
John 14: 6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Titus 3: 5a - “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but
according to His mercy He saved us.”
Ephesians 2: 8 & 9 - “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast."
Third, Jesus has provided for your salvation.
Because Jesus died for our sins, we can come into a relationship with God.
John 3: 16 - “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son so
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life.”
God offers us eternal life with Him in heaven as a free gift because of what Jesus has done.
Jesus died for our sins: Romans 5: 8 - “But God commendeth his love toward us, in
that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
He rose from the dead: I Corinthians 15: 3 - 4 - “For I delivered unto you first of all
that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that
he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."
Fourth, you must accept Jesus for salvation.
Acts 16:31 - “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”
Fifth, now is the time to accept Jesus as your Saviour.
II Corinthians 6: 2b - “Behold, now is the day of salvation.”
Sixth: What to do to be saved:
Romans 10: 9 - “That is thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall
believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved.”
Romans 10: 13 - “ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Finally, ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you and He will.
Just like any gift, we must receive God's gifts in order to have eternal life. We must give our lives to Jesus and receive Him into our hearts. Once we take this step, we come into a permanent relationship with God with Father through Jesus Christ the Son.
