Bro. Andy Russell

I was saved on April 11, 1993 and surrendered to the call of the ministry

on January 5, 1998.  I was ordained by Endville Baptist Church when

Turnpike Baptist Church called me as their Pastor.  I remained at Turnpike

until September 16, 2001 when I became Pastor of Martin Baptist Church.

I am married to Susan Hall Russell and we have two beautiful daughters:

Anna Russell Caldwell and Emily Russell Stout.  Susan has truly been a help

meet to me and my ministry.

My preaching style is based on understanding the Word thru the pages of the King James Bible and then

in return, sharing that understanding with whomever I have the chance.  My messages are about how the

lovely Lord Jesus was born, how He died and how He rose again so that man might be reunited with the

Heavenly Father.  It's all about Jesus!    I desire for the Spirit of God to teach me what the Word says and

what it means and then I can better share with my folks what the Bible truly reveals for their lives.  My goal

is to preach simply enough so that even a child can understand and yet profoundly enough so that the most

learned Bible scholar can glean some truths and build a strong Christian life based upon a deeper

relationship with Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord.

I have the awesome privilege to serve in one of the most loving and giving churches in America.  Our

mission is to do what Matthew 28: 19 states, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost."  One need only to look at the missionaries our

church supports to see that our people have a mission minded heart.

To sum up my ministry here at MBC, I could use a song by Legacy Five entitled, "God's Been

Good,"  for truly He has been good to me and to Martin Baptist Church.  We, as a church, are united by

love, bound in truth, and  are striving to share the gospel message through preaching, through singing,

through sharing, through giving and through loving whomever God brings across our path.

I invite you to visit with us and see what God is doing with simple folks, in a simple place, in simple ways

for His honor and His glory.

                                                                                                                                                                                 One Blessed Man,
